We like free stuff. Free is fun! But we also know that there is no such thing as a truly free service.Businesses cost money to run and must generate revenue. When you don’t pay for the services directly, you, the user, become the product, and the company generates profits through you some other way. Usually, this means ads are sold or corporate sponsorships are solicited. And when this happens, the true clients of that company become those corporations, not the users. We have always been attracted to transparent, direct-to-consumer business models. It comes mostly from our Founder, Jean’s time at WhatsApp. See WhatsApp’s blog - “Why we don’t sell ads”.EXA is committed to building a leadership community for our fellows. We take our relationships with each fellow seriously. Our fellows’ success is our own success and we are here to help each and every one of them soar. Our business model allows us to stay true to our mission without compromising our commitments to our fellows.* The founders have not taken any salaries since the start of EXA and 100% of the program fees are directed towards running the program.
